Amidst a backdrop of instability brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Project Officers at Steps To Work are offering a valuable lifeline to those who are amongst the most vulnerable members of the local community, including individuals with disabilities, mental health issues and sensory impairments.
Going above and beyond the call of duty, those working on outreach projects that champion social inclusion are providing direct help and support to those who are currently having to practice shielding or self-isolation, ensuring they able to obtain daily essentials through the delivery of food parcels and medical supplies whilst observing social distancing guidelines.
As one recipient remarked: “Thank you for everything you have done for us. No words can describe how much help you have given and how much it will help in the future.”
Bhanu Dhir, Managing Director at Steps To Work, commented: “As an organisation, we endeavour to position community at the heart of everything we do. Through our direct links and years of experience working with vulnerable groups, we are proud to be able to offer vital support services to those who are most in need at this time.
“I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all members of the Steps To Work family, and the wider Black Country business community at large, for their continued hard work, resilience and positivity under challenging circumstances.”
