Our Nifty Numbers course is designed to help you better understand budgeting, money and ways to save.

Feeling confident with numbers helps in every aspect of life, from paying bills and banking online, to doing the weekly food shop or planning days out with the kids.

With 49% of adults feeling underconfident when it comes to using numbers, this 6-week course will equip you with key skills to help you save and budget better, so that you can focus on enjoying the moments that matter.

We believe in learning to suit you, with our dedicated team being on hand to provide support and check in with you when needed, ensuring you brush up on those key skills.

Nifty Numbers is delivered in partnership with Staffordshire County Council, as part of the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund Multiply Programme by the Department for Education.

Who's it for?

These free courses are for:

  • Staffordshire residents aged 19+.
  • Individuals who have not achieved a maths GCSE of at least Grade C / 4 (or above).
  • Individuals who may want to develop numeracy skills for work or progression.
  • Individuals that want to brush up and develop their numeracy skills for everyday life.

How can we support you?

  • Managing Money – Help identify ways to successfully budget
  • Shopping on a Budget – How to shop smart, benefits of meal planning, value for money
  • Recipes and Cooking on a Budget – Understand how to cook on a budget, be able to scale a recipe up in order to batch cook, support to read a recipe and understand the data
  • Make it Through the Month – Understand the difference between priority and non-priority bills, fixed and variable costs and how to save money on variable costs. Gain an increased awareness of how to save money throughout the month
  • Banking – Help to feel confident when approaching banking and online banking
  • Staying safe online – Be able to identify a scam and know how to respond to it
