Lisa Nicholson

Lisa is Commercial Director of GMS Group, which is a Security Specialist based in Oldbury. Lisa is responsible for finding new business opportunities for GMS as well as coordinating bids, presenting their uniqueness as well as negotiating pricing and contract terms. Lisa has also worked at Black Country Chamber and Pertemps, in the commercial recruitment sector.

Lisa strongly believes in the excellent work done by Steps to Work so being a Trustee enables her to apply her skills to a sector which can really make a difference.

Tom is the Founder and CEO of Sport 4 Life UK, an award winning sport for development charity supporting young people towards better futures across the West Midlands.
Tom has an Executive MBA from Birmingham City University, and is a chartered manager and change management practitioner. He was also a baton bearer at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Tom’s professional interests include leadership, personal development, good governance, income generation and people. He is delighted to join the Board of Trustees at Steps To Work, and looks forward to many years of overseeing and supporting the organisation to change more lives.
Tony is a board member of numerous organisations, including the Aston Villa Foundation, Birmingham Opera Company and Changekitchen CIC. In addition, he is an advisor to numerous high profile philanthropists and charities on their strategies for growth and social impact.
As a proud Brummie based in London, Tony has broad experiences across the social innovation and social impact sector internationally.

Ryan is a father of three and proud adopted West Midlander, having lived in the area for over 20 years. He is a solicitor, advising companies and their owners on acquisitions, sales and investments.

The motivation behind his involvement in Steps To Work is to help continue the amazing aims of the charity whilst learning from the staff and his fellow Trustees of what it takes to operate an organisation with such strong roots in its community.

Having started her career in automotive design, managing projects for the likes of VW, McLaren, Bentley and JLR, Amy moved on to be Partnerships Manager at Acorns Children’s Hospice, the largest children’s hospice in the UK.

Joining Western Union Business Solutions in 2020, she focusses on supporting businesses with cross border trade and became a proud Business Ambassador for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Amy joined the Steps To Work board in 2018 as she recognised the great value provided to individuals with the biggest barriers to sustainable employment.
