When Crystina* joined the Restart programme in August 2022, her long-term goal was to be an artist in photography and to create exhibitions around Walsall. She wanted a job that would fit her hobby and long-term goal.
As she was lacking in confidence due to being out of work for a while and being disheartened due to not getting positive responses from employers. After she has had support from our in-house skills trainer with confidence and motivation as well as interview skills she had a massive increase in her confidence and was ready for any opportunities that came her way.
Working in partnership with Starting Point Recruitment we have placed Crystina in a grounds maintenance role with Walsall Council.
Testimonial from Starting point recruitment Natalie Marchewka – Resourcer comments on her experience working with Crystina.
“Crystina has been an asset to the company, she shows a lot of interest daily and is always eager to take on new tasks. I keep regular contact with her to see how she is getting on in her new role and she explains to me that she feels as if she is doing well and is enjoying it very much.
Her role is as a Grounds Maintenance Operative at Walsall Council, a job that many would shy away from, due to the level of persistence and attention it requires on each and every shift, but Kathryn has been eager to show she isn’t shy of any tough task.
During her time with Starting Point Recruitment, she has truly excelled, and we are thrilled to witness the progress she is making through hard work, dedication and strong communication between herself and us.
She has proven to be a fantastic candidate and we are more than happy with her work so far .
Testimonial from Kathryn while being on Restart:
“Glad to be offered help, to be working again and feeling alive”
We are still in contact with Crystina through our in-work support and she is continually improving and working towards her long-term goal of becoming a photography artist.
