Community hub

With Steps to Work & your local pantry

As an organisation that supports people to overcome their barriers, we are proud to be partnering with national membership franchise, Your Local Pantry, to open a Community Hub serving those living in Walsall.

Situated in Pleck, the Community Hub will offer you the opportunity to purchase discounted food and hygiene products to help ease some of the financial pressures you may currently be facing due to the rising cost of living.

Steps to Work help build bridges across the whole of Walsall

Who can use the community hub?

It is free for anyone who lives within a 1-mile radius of the Pantry to join, with members then being asked to pay just £5 per visit in order to take 10 items from the shop – on average, this will amount to approx. £30 worth of shopping. What’s more, access to the Pantry is not benefit dependant nor means tested, anyone is able to use it provided you live within the 1-mile radius. You can complete the form online by choosing Walsall Pleck Pantry, or simply pop in and join.

In addition to offering affordable food and toiletries, we will also be using the Community Hub to deliver employment support, as well as providing help with accessing benefits, housing and budgeting for personal finances.
