After suddenly becoming unemployed following more than 14 years of service, Jonathan’s mental health and confidence had taken a hit. He wanted to explore being self-employed but did not know from where to start and who to contact for advice.
Luckily, he had been referred to Access To Business by Wolves at Work and received a call within a matter of days. Being enthusiastic and eager to start anew helped and motivated Jonathan to move forwards. His job coach, Lester, explained to him the opportunities on offer and suggested enrolment in online webinars where Jonathan would be able to learn about routes to self-employment and gain the skills necessary to succeed. Following Lester’s advice, he successfully enrolled and completed online classes, which resulted in the creation of his business plan. During this time, Bridges supported Jonathan with obtaining his NEA self-employment approval at People Plus.
We are happy to say that Jonathan started his self-employment journey at the end of November and on 6th December he took part in the Bilston Market Fair!
